Gift Guide: Luxury Gifts for Homemakers

Gift items for homemakers - Gift Guide: Luxury Gift Ideas

I’ll admit it, I selfishly created this gift guide for myself. Hint, hint to my husband! This list of luxury gifts for homemakers is perfect for a homemaker, like myself, who is slowly upgrading big-ticket items like vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, irons, and even high-end organizing bins.

While at first glance some of these items might not feel gift-able, I can attest they can be thoughtful gifts for the right recipient.

Luxury Gifts for Homemakers

Miele C3 Canister Vacuum

I have spent countless hours researching the best vacuum cleaners. During that research, I chatted with housekeepers and homemakers about their favorite vacuum cleaners, and this one topped the list. Loved for its 1,200-watt suction power, maneuverability, HEPA filter, and ease of use, this is the vacuum cleaner I am coveting. While this particular model is best for hard floors, it includes an attachment for carpets making it suitable for both types of floors.

Dyson Air Purifier, Heater & Fan

This Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool Air Purifier, Heater & Fan can do it all! We initially purchased a Dyson during California’s fire season, and we were pleased with the air purification results. I enjoyed being able to check the air quality improvement in real time on the app. Since then, we’ve come to appreciate the versatility and we also use ours as a heater in the winter and a fan in the summer. This is a great gift for someone who lives in a polluted city or someone who weathers fire season.

iRobot Roomba j6

I love the idea of gifting a robot vacuum to a loved one who could benefit from outsourcing their cleaning routine. Whether they have physical limitations, limited time, or are simply uninterested in vacuuming, a robot vacuum will get the job done. This robot empties itself for up to 60 days, making it the ultimate set-it-and-forget-it experience.

Jiffy Garment Steamer

Do you have a fashionista friend or family member who is constantly steaming their clothes, perhaps with a small handheld garment steamer? It’s time to upgrade to this Jiffy Garment Steamer which features a quick two-minute heat-up time and a 1.5-hour steam time! Reviewers rave that it “unwrinkles clothes like a boss.” You’ll have to ensure they have enough space to comfortably store the steamer. I like the retro look of this light pink model.

Do you know someone who is still using their first entry-level iron? Consider gifting them an upgrade in the form of this Panasonic Dry/Steam Iron. It is cordless, features a non-stick nickel-coated stainless steel soleplate that glides smoothly over fabric, has powerful vertical steam perfect for drip-free treatment of hanging clothes and home decor, and includes a portable case for on-the-go needs and storage. Giantex Portable Washing Machine

I admit this item is for a particular niche gift recipient who lives somewhere without a washing machine. Perhaps a vintage New York City apartment, a tiny home dweller, a camper enthusiast, or someone undergoing a home renovation like I am. When I first learned of portable washing machines I was skeptical. Would it be effective and worth the space it takes up, I wondered? After hours of research and chatting with friends who have used this Giantex Portable Washing Machine, I learned that it is effective, easy to operate, and contains a large capacity despite its relatively small footprint.

Steele Canvas Laundry System

If you know someone looking to upgrade their laundry system, consider giving them this Rejuvenation Steel Canvas Laundry System. It is a classic storage solution to organize and store products, and it is made with a durable steel frame made from recycled steel and caster wheels. The Steeletex vinyl liner is easy to clean, tear- and water-resistant, and antimicrobial making it a suitable choice for laundry and long-term use.

mDesign Organizing Bins

While organizing bins may not seem like much of a splurge compared to other items on this list, I beg to differ. When I started my organizing journey, I balked at the price tags of many of the organizing bins. In fact, the cost of organizing bins somewhat delayed my start. I would have loved to have been gifted high-quality, long-lasting organizing bins. You can find a spot for these nearly anywhere (kitchen, entryway, playroom, office) so you can be confident they will be appreciated and used.
