Daily Cleaning Checklist - printable PDF!

It’s hard to deny the fact that a clean space feels GOOD.

I am a person who is severely impacted by her surroundings. When I come home after work to a messy apartment (which happens way more often than I’d like to admit) my default behavior is to eat a bowl of granola or a box of macaroni and cheese, pour myself some wine then sit in front of the TV and binge watch something brainless on Netflix or Hulu.

However, when I come home to a clean and tidy apartment I am inspired to help my husband cook something healthy for dinner, write a blog post, or read a book instead. Most people feel more energized in a clean space but struggle with the process of regularly maintaining one.

This is why I created a printable daily cleaning checklist!

At the end of the day, the last thing I want to be doing is determining what area of the house needs to be cleaned. Has it been a week since I washed our sheets yet? When was the last time I vacuumed? It has definitely been more than a few weeks since I last cleaned my shower

With a cleaning checklist I don’t have to think, I just have to do.

In many ways it’s like a self induced chore chart, which admittedly isn’t for everyone. However, if you live with roommates or kids or even just your spouse (*raising hand) it can be a helpful way to visually divvy up what needs to be taken care of in the house each week/month. Take turns on which areas of the house each person is responsible for each week and let them check the boxes when each chore is done.

I did this when I lived with roommates and it was SO helpful. Our house was always a nice place to come home to because each of us did our part to keep it that way.

This cleaning checklist isn’t meant to overwhelm – if you aren’t able to get through everything each day then oh well! I guarantee that by using this list as a guide you will get more chores done in less time regardless of completing every single task each day. If you’re interested in trying it, sign up for my newsletter below and I’ll send you a printable PDF download.

Let me know how it goes!
